IBC tank (Intermediate Bulk Container) is a widely used industrial packaging system for storing and transporting various liquid and powder products. The production and assembly process of the IBC tank's inner liner and outer metal frame (steel cage) is as follows:
1. IBC inner tank blow molding machine:
- Raw material selection: Use high-density polyethylene (HDPE) as raw material because it has good chemical stability and durability.
- Blow molding process: HDPE pellets are heated to a molten state, then extruded through the extrusion head of the blow molding machine and blown into the mold to form the shape of the liner. Under certain pressure and temperature, the plastic expands and conforms to the inner wall of the mold, forming the desired container shape.
- Cooling and shaping: The plastic liner is cooled and shaped in the mold to ensure its shape and size are stable.
- Demoulding and Trimming: The cooled liner is removed from the mold and trimmed as necessary to remove excess plastic edges.
2. IBC steel cage making machine：
- Material selection: Galvanized steel is often used for the exterior frame to provide extra strength and corrosion resistance.
- Welding line production: Galvanized steel is cut, bent and welded into the external frame structure of the IBC tank through an automated welding line.
- Quality inspection: After welding is completed, the metal frame is inspected for quality to ensure its structural integrity and durability.
3. Assembly of IBC inner tank and IBC steel cage:
- Assembly process: Place the inspected plastic liner in the metal frame to ensure a tight fit.
- Accessory installation: Install necessary accessories, such as removable covers, valves, brackets, etc., to ensure the functionality and safety of the IBC tank.
- Final inspection: After the assembly is completed, the entire IBC tank undergoes final quality inspection and performance testing, including leakage testing, stacking testing, and drop testing.
4. Packaging and storage:
- IBC tanks that pass all inspections and tests will be packed appropriately to prevent damage during transportation.
- The packaged IBC tank is stored or shipped to the customer's designated location, ready for loading and shipping of the product. The entire production process needs to strictly comply with relevant safety production regulations and environmental protection standards to ensure product quality and production sustainability. In addition, the production of IBC tanks also needs to comply with international and domestic regulatory requirements to meet the needs of different markets.
