It is well known that multi-layer co-extrusion technology is currently widely used in food, cosmetics, agrochemical packaging and other industries. Today we introduce various applications in detail, as follows:
Food and beverages. Although the glass bottle is a permanent barrier container, it is not restricted by the 84 disinfectant and aseptic disinfectant. However, co-extrusion blow-molded multi-layer bottles are not easy to break, can be extruded, are light in weight, and have good barrier properties; and can freely design multi-layer structures with different capacities, specifications, and complex shapes, and the combination of layers The thickness and thickness can also be determined independently, making it an ideal food and beverage packaging product. It can be used as packaging for ketchup, rapeseed oil, jam, milk, orange juice, carbonated drinks, beer, etc.
Multi-layer co-extruded bottle products include three-layer combination, five-layer combination, and six-layer combination. There are more plastic bottles with six-layer combination of common materials. The three-layer bottle with EVOH or PA as the barrier layer has low moisture sensitivity and can be used for food packaging. The three-layer combination bottle of PE/PET/PC has transparency, effective barrier properties, excellent heat resistance and mechanical properties, and does not use adhesive materials, which has attracted widespread attention.
Chemical reagents. Chemical reagents are usually industrial or agricultural chemical products.
It requires co-extruded multilayer products to have better barrier properties, higher ability to withstand internal pressure, excellent mechanical properties, and the ability to withstand the swelling of the inner layer of the product by the contained chemicals. Such products are usually 5-10L barrels with three-layer combination, four-layer combination, five-layer combination, and six-layer combination, and plastic bottles below 1L. In order to prevent chemical agents from leaking to the outside world, barrier layers (PA, PAN, EVOH) are often placed on the inner wall, and the thickness of the layer should be greater than 0.1mm; the base resin is usually HDPE, sometimes considering chemical compatibility, PP can also be used instead of HDPE resin.
3.Other aspects. In the packaging of medicines and cosmetics, products are often required to have good surface properties, such as antistatic, easy to print, high gloss, scratch resistance, etc. At this time, multi-layer products can use PA as the outer layer material to provide better surface properties and barrier properties. The three-layer combination and two-layer combination products of two different materials or different colors are used for different applications.
