Use of hydraulic cylinders

Hydraulic cylinder is a hydraulic actuator that converts hydraulic energy into mechanical energy and performs linear reciprocating motion. It has simple structure and reliable operation. When using it to realize reciprocating motion, the reduction device can be omitted, and there is no transmission gap, and the movement is stable, so it is widely used in various mechanical hydraulic systems. The output force of the hydraulic cylinder is proportional to the effective area of the piston and the pressure difference on both sides; the hydraulic cylinder is basically composed of a cylinder barrel and a cylinder head, a piston and a piston rod, a sealing device, a buffer device and an exhaust device. Buffers and exhausts are application specific, other devices are essential.

Hydraulic cylinder is the executive element in the hydraulic transmission system. There are three types of hydraulic cylinders: piston cylinder, plunger cylinder and swing cylinder.

In extrusion blow molding machine equipment, we mainly use hydraulic cylinders for mold opening and closing. There are many types of hydraulic cylinders, we use piston cylinders. There are two types of piston cylinders, one is a single-piston cylinder and the other is a double-piston cylinder. Their working principle and components are basically the same. Where is the difference?

The single-piston hydraulic cylinder has only one end of the piston rod, and its two ends are the oil outlet and the oil return port to realize bidirectional movement.

The two-piston hydraulic cylinder has a unique piston rod extension at both ends. When oil is fed into the right chamber of the liquid cylinder and oil is returned to the left chamber, the piston moves to the left, and vice versa.


In the production process of our equipment, through the reciprocating motion of the piston and cylinder, the front and rear opening and closing of the mold plate and the left and right movement of the template are controlled.

Especially in the process of blow molding, the large pressure of the oil cylinder ensures that the mold will not expand. Therefore, to produce different products, it is necessary to select the appropriate pressure.

Hydraulic cylinders are constantly developing, and now they are developing in the direction of high pressure, miniaturization and multi-variety to meet the different needs of customers. We will also continue to improve and use the most suitable hydraulic cylinders.
