IBC tank refers to IBC intermediate bulk container. It is an essential tool for modern storage and transportation of liquid products. The container barrel is composed of an inner container and a metal frame. The inner container is blow-molded with high-molecular-weight high-density polyethylene, which has high strength, corrosion resistance, and good sanitation. Widely used in chemical, pharmaceutical, food, paint, oil and other industries.

1. Standard type

(1) Single layer IBC tank:This type of IBC tank is rarely used, and its scope of application is limited.

(2) Double layers IBC tank:Double-layer IBC tanks usually use recycled materials for the outer layer and original new materials for the inner layer to save production costs.


2. Light proof type

For material with prone to coagulation, polymerization, decomposition and other chemical reactions when exposed to light, such as photosensitive drugs and fertilizers such as nitric acid,ammonia, bromine, ammonia, carbon tetrachloride which will accelerate volatilization when exposed to light. Some electroplating material and photosensitive coatings also need light-proof IBC tank.

(1) Single layer:Usually, blue or black color masterbatch is added to the raw material to achieve the light-proof performance of the IBC tank body.

(2) Double layer:The outer layer is black or blue, and the inner layer is transparent and clean material.

(3) Tri-layer:The outer layer is a reflective layer, the middle layer is a light-proof layer, and the inner layer is a transparent material.

3. Electrostatic prevention type

For material flammable and explosive dangerous material such as alcohol.The anti-static liner coating can discharge static electricity shortly to prevent voltage accumulation.

IBC tank filling precautions include:

1. Before filling, check whether the bottom valve is leaking.

2. Before filling, the ton barrel needs to be grounded to prevent static electricity. Since the outside of the tote barrel cannot be directly connected to the anti-static facilities, our company needs to take the following protective measures before filling:

(1) Insert one end of a slender stainless steel pipe into the bottom of the tonnage barrel from the feed port of the tote barrel, and the entire pipe needs to be wrapped with copper flat wire to enhance electrostatic discharge;

(2) The electrostatic grounding instrument with alarm system should be connected to the pipeline outside the tote;

(3) The outer iron frame of the ton bucket needs to be connected with an electrostatic grounding instrument with an alarm system;

3. The nitrogen cylinder is sealed with a thin copper tube;

4. When filling, spray water around the tonneau to reduce the temperature;

5. In high temperature season, it should be filled in the morning and evening. If the barrel is hot (heated) before filling, the lid should be covered, and the filling can only be carried out after watering and cooling.

6. During the filling process, pay attention to control the flow. The flow rate should not be too fast and the filling should be slow.

7. During the filling process, a heat-insulating, fire-proof and anti-static asbestos cloth is covered at the entrance of the ton barrel to reduce the gas generated by the volatilization of materials during the filling process.
